Kokosi Primary School pupil was Covid-19 negative: Masuku
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Health MEC Bandile Masuku says the body of the grade 7 was tested and was found to be Covid-19 negative.

Masuku was speaking outside the home of the pupil in Kolosi, in the West Rand on Sunday morning.
The MEC was joined by Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi and local authorities.
Masuku says his department consulted with the family before releasing the status of the learner.
He adds the only reason he is releasing the deceased status to the public is to dismiss the rumours that the pupil was Covid-19 positive.
"The postmortem results we will communicate with the family, which the postmortem will be done tomorrow, which is a thorough check of the body of the deceased and then we can make a call on the underlying cause of the death," says Masuku.
Masuku says this is to manage the stigma around the virus and how the public reacted to the death of the pupil.
