Covid-19 prevents Metrorail trains from leaving the station
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Metrorail has temporarily closed its Scheiding and Wolmerton depots following three positive cases of Covid-19.

As a result, the Metrorail has been forced to close the line between Pienaarspoort and Pretoria during the Monday morning peak time.
"As a company, Metrorail has followed a pre-emptive preparatory approach to quickly, safely and responsibly respond to both suspected and confirmed cases of Covid-19 among employees," says acting Metrorail spokesperson, Tony Games.
He says unaffected employees will return to their workstations once all the buildings have been decontaminated, deep cleaned and declared safe.
"The train service will start running in the afternoon peak."
