Mantashe discharged from hospital after Covid-19 treatment

Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Gwede Mantashe has been discharged from hospital after he was admitted with Covid-19 last week.
Mantashe received treatment after contracting the deadly virus.
“Government is pleased to announce that the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP), was discharged from hospital,” government spokesperson Phumla Williams said on Sunday.

“Though he has been discharged, he has been advised by his medical team to stay home for another seven days.”
Mantashe and his wife Nolwandle have both tested positive for the Covid-19.
Several ministers have tested positive for the virus, including Minister of Economic Development Ebrahim Patel and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi.
