New liquor ban regulations already gazetted

Minister of Cooperative Governance Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma published the changes to the lockdown level 3 regulations in the government gazette on Sunday.
The publishing of the regulations follows an address by President Cyril Ramaphosa in which he announced the immediate suspension in the sale of alcohol.
Regulation 44 of the gazetted regulations indicate that the sale, dispensation and distribution of alcohol is now prohibited.
The transportation of liquor is only allowed for industries producing hand sanitisers, disinfectant and cleaning products.
The new regulations also make it compulsory to wear a mask in public.
