WATCH: WC Premier Alan Winde tests positive for Covid-19

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde has announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

Winde says he started feeling symptoms on Sunday afternoon.
"I experienced some flu-like symptoms over the weekend and I immediately isolated myself and went for a test on Monday and I just received the results."
To date, the Western Cape has just over 70 000 cases and 2145 deaths.
"I will continue to run the cabinet and business as I have done in the past while isolating. Meetings with the president and other premiers continue this week and I will be doing that from home on my laptop," added Winde.

He said he is a type 2 diabetic and has warned others with comorbidities to be cautious.
