#TeamMack prepares for the Discovery Jacaranda FM Spring Walk
Updated | By Mack Rapapali
Since the Discovery Jacaranda FM Spring Walk is around the corner, I had to consult some expert advice from the Vodacom Blue Bulls.

I took off my dancing shoes and got into my 8KM mode keeping track of my goal with my new iPhone and Apple watch.
This made life easier for me by keeping track and managing the tips I received which were :
- Short sprint intervals of 200-600m to help improve leg turnover and speed.
- Trying a couple of long runs up a set of stairs at an effort of seven to eight on a scale of one to 10, and throw in a one-minute surge.
- A 30 minute core workout (including abs, back, glutes and shoulders)
- I also learned that I have to build speed endurance while training for a longer race.
- I then relaxed my muscles by hitting the gym on the bike and wrapping up with a bottle of water!
I should be honest, with the influence from the players, the coach, their breathing tips and the help of my iPhone and Apple watch, I managed to handle my first hectic session which got me to the 4km mark.

It took a man and a half out of me but I made it.
