Today is Bill Corgans, member of the alternative rock band, the Smashing Pumpkins, 47th birthday. He grew up in Chicago in the US with his guitarist father. The Smashing Pumpkins were a chart topping band in the 1990’s but they retired from music in 2007. The band did attempt to reunite in 2007.
