Beyond Scared Straight is a reality show in which young offenders who think that the criminal lifestyle is glamourous are introduced to the harsh reality of prison life by coming face to face with hardened inmates and tough as nails prison wardens, with the hope that the experience will prevent them from committing crimes in the future. As harsh as this looks, it seems to be quite effective! Viewer discretion is advised for sensitive users.
