Good Morning Angels and Roman's Pizza joined forces to help a father of three who is on the verge of losing his family and his home.
GOOD MORNING ANGELS FESTIVE 6 DECEMBER 2017 (ROMANS/HENDRIK)
A single dad of three daughters, one with special needs, fights to keep their home and family together
BACKGROUND: It’s been two years since Hendrik lost his wife after a long cancer battle, in October 2015. The loss was immensely tough for him and their three young daughters, who had to live through their mother’s cancer and chemotherapy struggle, only to lose her. The eldest is 18 and then there are the 13-year old twins.
They are not in the same school as one of the twins needs specialised education in Nuwe Hoop School. The years of chemotherapy and medical bills also took a huge toll on the family's finances and Hendrik now faces the real possibility that they could loose their home. A social worker at Nuwe Hoop School asked Good Morning Angels to help this dad and his daughters, so that they could keep the home, where there are so many memories of the mother they lost.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Good afternoon,
I am contacting Good Morning Angels on behalf of a family and learner at New Hope School.
We will be very glad if you can help this family. The family consists of a father that takes care of three daughters.
Since 2010 the one daughter has been a learner at New Hope School.
New Hope School accommodates learners with learning problems, physical disabilities or learners that had brain injuries.
The daughter in New Hope School is 13 years old and she has a twin sister. The eldest sister is 18 years old.
During October 2015 the children's mother passed away. For many years she suffered from cancer and went for chemotherapy. It has been a very tough journey for this family. The father struggles financially. There is a possibility that the family might lose their home.
The family will be very thankful for any help so that the family can keep their house! We are looking forward to hear from you.
Regards,
Cornelia
