Laerskool Hennopspark Rocks by reaching out to El-Shalem School for Severely Disabled Learners.
BACKGROUND: El-Shalem is a very special school for very special learners in Centurion. The school provides a safe and loving learning environment for 41 differently-abled learners between the ages of 5 and 35. The staff at El-Shalem provide tutoring, therapy, support and care to unlock the optimal potential of each learner, all of whom have severe physical and or mental challenges. As part of their community outreach projects, Laerskool Hennopspark has been assisting El-Shalem and its learners with a Friday morning physical exercise programme.
The learners are transported to Laerskool Hennopspark, where they receive appropriate physical training on the Hennops sports grounds along with Hennops teachers and trainers. Laerskool Hennopspark nominated El-Shalem as a Good Morning Angels recipient for their "My School Rocks" broadcast.
