Naidoo has applied for bursaries extensively, as his family of five faced an unexpected financial challenge a year ago. His mother was retrenched and has been unable to find another job. His older sister had to halt her studies to help their father cover the family's expenses.

"Receiving this bursary would enable me to fully focus on my education and achieve the goals I have worked tirelessly toward throughout high school," writes Naidoo – and that’s why he reached out to Good Morning Angels for assistance.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:

Dear Good Morning Angels,

The ever-evolving ICT industry has captured my curiosity and passion, particularly in how it interacts with the commercial and business world. My lifelong interest in computers and software systems has driven me to explore how these systems function and how they are developed. This enthusiasm inspired me to pursue a commerce-related degree specialising in Informatics and Information Systems. This field offers vast growth opportunities and has the potential for impactful contributions to the global economy.

It is well known that the IT industry is one of the largest and fastest-growing sectors, characterised by constant innovation and a rising demand for skilled professionals. My passion for technology, combined with a growing interest in the commercial world, motivates me to study Informatics and Information Systems. With the support of this bursary, I aim to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to address real-world challenges in ICT, bridging the gap between technology and commerce.

My dedication to education has been a cornerstone of my personal growth. Despite financial challenges – including my mother's job loss in January 2024 – I remained committed to my academic journey. My family of five has relied solely on my father’s income, prompting my sister to pause her tertiary studies to assist with household expenses. I also secured a part-time job to contribute financially while maintaining strong academic performance.

In Grade 11, I earned full academic colours, and by the end of matric, I achieved an academic full colours re-award, maintaining a record of excellence. This demonstrates my resilience, determination, and passion for achieving my goals.

I am a deserving candidate for this bursary because of my unwavering dedication to my studies, my passion for technology, and my resilience in overcoming challenges. Receiving this bursary would enable me to fully focus on my education and achieve the goals I have worked tirelessly toward throughout high school.
