Who took home Laureus World Sports Awards in 2019?

With the 2020 Laureus World Sports Awards taking place on 17 February 2020, we look back at who took home the awards last year.

The 2019 Laureus World Sports Awards took place at The Monte-Carlo Sporting in Monaco, France.
The glitzy event saw sports stars and celebrities from across the globe descend upon the European sovereign city-state to celebrate the achievements of the past year.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic, gymnastics sensation Simone Biles, and football world champions France were the biggest winners on the night.

Yuwa, which translates to ‘youth’ from Hindi, works in the rural region of Jharkhand in northern India. It helps children better their lives through sport.
