Cook in bulk
Not only does cooking in bulk save you time, but it also saves you electricity and your food from being wasted.
Freeze your food
After cooking your food in bulk, ensure that you seal it in storage bags and freeze it. Freezing food is a preservation method that makes the food last longer.
Cut and dice your own fruits and veggies
Pre-packed cut fruits and veggies cost more than buying whole products. Instead of wasting money on buying pre-packed veggies and fruits, rather do the chopping yourself and then freeze your veggies and fruits. This will ensure that they don’t get spoilt. You can even train your children to help you with this one.
Constantly check the state of your food
One rotten potato spoils the whole bag. That could be said for many other foods. So constantly make sure that you look out for foods that are almost too ripe and may get rotten soon. Start cooking with those, to ensure they don’t spoil the whole bag.
