The Easter weekend is upon us and many are always stuck wondering what to do - ask us, we know!
If you did not know, there are actually fun things you can do with family that everyone will enjoy. From theatre productions, markets, Easter egg hunts and physical activities, there is something for the whole family.
Here are a few things you can do this coming weekend:
Arts & Culture Actvities
Freckleface Strawberry, the Musical
Produced by the National Children’s Theatre, this family production is a heartwarming, feel-good musical with a moral lesson: ‘accept who you are’.

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids
Winnie the Pooh must be one of the most popular kids' stories around and rightly so - the story contains countless life lessons and nuggets of wisdom which even adults should listen to. Joburg Theatre is hosting this lovely family-friendly production based on this beloved story, as well as the Disney animated feature films.
When: 11 March - 30 April

Transformers Animatronics
Love the Transformers? Well, this Transformers exhibition brings characters to life and is a must for Transformers fans of all ages. Expect awe-inspiring sculptures and state-of-the-art technology while walking through a life-like Cybertron planet.

Just want to have fun? Well, there are a few destinations that will have you enjoying one activity to the next.
Easter Playground - Silverstar Casino
When: Now - 17 April
Where: Silverstar Casino
Time: Daily - 10am - 5pm
Child-friendly entertainment will include a soft play park, train rides, pedal go-karts on an inflatable track, a water slide and buskers. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance on certain days, with treats for the children.
For those who prefer spending their time watching movies, the Easter Playground will have two free family movie screenings. On Friday 14 April, guests can catch the screening of 'HOP' and on Saturday 15 April, the 'Rise of the Guardians' will be shown.
Entrance is free.
Lippizaners Easter Performance
Be mesmerised be a Lippizaner performance and enjoy a meal, as well as an Easter egg hunt, before the show.

Time: 1pm
Where: 1 Dahlia Road, Kyalami
Gold Reef City
Africa’s largest theme park promises an exciting and fun-filled day out. This family excursion must-visit has thrill rides, tamer family rides, a 4D theatre and a mine museum with an underground mine tour. A cinema, a variety of child-friendly restaurants and accommodation are also available.
