Is a bio fiber implant the answer to your hair loss?
Updated | By Lifestyle Reporter
If you are suffering from hair loss, a bio fiber implant just might be the answer to your problem.
They say your hair is your crowning glory, but what happens when your strands start to fall out?
According to the Hair Society, more than 35-million people suffer from hair loss. There are several treatments available to help deal with hair loss - one of them is a bio fiber implant.
Dr M Premchand from Herrwood Medical Centre says a bio fiber hair implant can look just as real as natural hair.
"Intense training ensures that the doctor transplants it in a way that it looks natural."
The Italian fiber is made in a laboratory and then implanted to give you hair immediately.
Dr Premchand says anybody, besides people with connective tissue diseases, can undergo a bio fiber transplant.
"The scalp is anaesthetized [and] fibre is implanted into the scalp using an implanter," he says.

One month after the procedure, the hair fibers will be as strong as normal hair.
"For the first-month rinsing and washing procedures are given in a brochure. Thereafter hair fibers are firmly in the scalp like normal hair," Dr Premchand added.
He added that one of the biggest misconceptions about bio fiber hair is that it grows.
"It remains the same length."
How much can you expect to pay for the procedure? Dr Premchand says it depends on the area, size and number of fibers needed.
