Wednesday marked the beginning of the 2020 school calendar.
Celebrities joined thousands of South Africans in taking to social media to share pictures of their children starting or returning to school.

Our very own Elana took to social media to share a picture of her two adorable baby girls in their school uniform.

South African model and television presenter Minki van der Westhuizen shared a cute picture of her daughter in school uniform.
The young one is in Grade 1.
Arthur Mafokate
Arthur Mafokate's baby girl Onalenna returned to school today. Her dad was proud to share a picture of them standing together this morning just before class started.
Melanie Bala
Melanie Bala's son is starting high school and her daughter started Grade 3. The proud mom shared a picture of the two champs in their school uniform.
"What a mission to get them to take a picture this morning. “No mom. This is embarrassing. Seriously? Come on!” But ... but... what happened to my babies who would willingly pose for a gang of pictures in the past? I’d like a refund or to speak to the manager please!!!!!" she wrote.
AKA
DJ Zinhle and AKA's little Kairo returned to school today. She was accompanied by her dad who gave her a kiss before she could start class.
