Jacaranda FM presenters share photos of their kids' first day of school

Schools in South Africa opened their doors to new learners this week.
At least one-million learners started Grade 1 in 2024.
"As the doors of learning open to 1.2-million Grade 1 learners today, we welcome these children, learners in other grades, their families and our educators back to school," President Cyril Ramaphosa wrote on X.
Scores of social media users shared cute photos of Grade 1 pupils who started school this year.
Our presenters also shared their proud photos of their children heading back to school.
Rozanne McKenzie
Drive presenter Rozanne, who is a mom to two amazing human beings, Fallon and James, was among the proud parents who got to send their young ones to school.
She took to Instagram to share photos of her daughter Fallon, who started Grade 1 this year.
"Grade 1", she captioned her post with a love emoji.

Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
Elana is proud of her two girls who also went to school this year.
The presenter shared images of her children dressed in their uniform on Instagram.
"Then and NOW," she captioned her post.
The proud mother thanked God for the blessing of her children's milestone. She also thanked her husband for being a good father.
"Thank You Almighty for this family. @ianbredenkamp thanks for being the best husband and daddy. So proud of ALL our Children," she added.

Thabiso Khambule
Thabiso celebrated his child starting Grade 1 with his social media followers.
"Today marked a major milestone - my not so baby anymore lol, Seth Refiloe Khambule, ventured into Grade 1!" he wrote on Instagram.
Thabiso opened up about what the moment meant for him as a father.
"As a dad, the journey has been quite the ride. I remember feeling too young when my firstborn started school, but now, older and wiser, I'm embracing the experience again," he wrote.
The proud father went on to celebrate other parents and guardians.
"Parenting is a journey of growth, and witnessing your child step into the world of education is nothing short of awe-inspiring. To all parents, grandparents, siblings ( As some kids are raised by their siblings ) , guardians, foster parents, and everyone navigating the challenges of raising kids in these trying times - hats off to you!
"You've nurtured a whole being into their first grade, and that's an accomplishment worth celebrating. Here's to the incredible village it takes to raise a child," he wrote.
