Laura Benanti welcomes her "rainbow" baby

The Broadway star is celebrating the arrival of her daughter, Louisa Georgia Benanti-Brown, whom she calls a rainbow baby.
The birth of a baby is one of life's greatest blessings and miracles.
For actress Laura Benanti, the desire to grow her family was met with several challenges.
The mother of two has just welcomed a new member to her family after suffering two miscarriages.
The Broadway star took to Instagram to share the exciting news of the arrival of her baby, who was born on July 9th.
"Please welcome to the world Louisa Georgia Benanti-Brown. On July 9th at 2:43am we were blessed with the arrival of our second daughter," she wrote on Instagram.

She also opened up about the difficulties she has faced while trying to grow her family.
"Like many, the journey towards growing our family has had many challenges," she wrote on Instagram.
In 2019, the star tweeted that she suffered a miscarriage before conceiving her daughter and suffered another one after the birth.
This led to her family considering surrogacy.

"Our journey has also been marked by the privilege to pursue different paths to grow our family. Specifically, our remarkable surrogate (an angel-on-earth) who carried our precious girl and delivered her into our arms," she wrote.
She described this as "an other-worldly generosity of spirit, body, and kindness that can never be repaid."
'The Life & Beth' actress shared a photo of her two daughters whom she call "Rainbow babies".
"Ella and Louisa. Rainbow babies. Rainbow sisters," she wrote.
