Make your father feel special this Father’s Day
Updated | By Lifestyle Reporter
Forget the boring socks, the family lunch or the restaurant breakfast this Father’s Day. Treat your dad to something extra special this year.
Here are four things that will absolutely prove to your dad just how important he is to you and will make him the happiest dad around on Father’s Day.
Help him with his latest DIY project
We know that this job isn’t always fun, but it’s what he enjoys. So forget about yourself for a moment and hold his hammer and pass the screwdriver when he needs it. Not only will he probably get the job done faster, but you’ll have a really great bonding session with him. You might also learn something new.
Take interest in sport that interests him
Yes, we know, it’s torture to sit through a game you don’t understand or that you’re not interested in. But sacrificing a few hours of your time to just hang out with your dad while he explains that penalty will mean the world to him.
Take him to lunch, by yourself
Leave the kids at home, let mom know this outing is not for her and spoil your dad to a lunch he’ll love. Forget those horrible words like cholesterol and blood pressure, and treat him to what he really wants. Think chicken wings, steak, ribs, burgers, fries, beer and ice cream. Most importantly, don’t tell mom what he ate.
Ask him to teach you something
All dads want to teach their children stuff, and most would still love to do it no matter how old their kids are. Ask him anything, and get ready to be interested in his answer for the next hour. Who knew that drill bits were so interesting and that there are so many different sizes and shapes.
