'The moment my soul left my body' - Somizi's close encounter with a lion
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Somizi got up close and personal with a lion!
As cute as Simba from 'The Lion King' looked, we all can agree that we wouldn't want to come within arm's length of the majestic predator.
But Somizi, like many travelers on safari, was lucky enough to get up close and personal with the king of the jungle during a recent game drive.
Game drives are generally safe, but that won't stop your heart from skipping a beat when Nala is standing right in front of you.
"The moment when my soul left my body for two seconds," Somizi captioned a video of his lion encounter. ".....moments before I got [eaten] by lions," he joked.

The 'Idols SA' judge bragged about the amazing views in a message for his American friend.
"Me sending a video to my American friend @quamain3 to show to his European friends and tell them that we live with the big five in our yards in Africa lol....."
