Removing bad odour from your car

Does your car have a bad odour that doesn't seem to go away? These tricks might just be what you need...
Driving in a car that stinks can be so frustrating, especially if you have done several things to get the bad odour out without any success.
Cars might smell because of different reasons.
These can range from a leak in your car's exhaust system, poor ventilation, mold or mildew which have formed in the depths of your air-conditioner, or because your catalytic converter may have gone bad. Therefore it is crucial that you find out what is causing the bad odour by taking your car to a car mechanic or dealership.
If the bad odour is not caused by anything hectic, trying the below tricks might help get the smell to disappear.
What's cool about these methods is that you don't have to worry about them messing your car up.

Vinegar
Vinegar has many great benefits. It is not only used to add flavour to food, but can be used as a cleaning detergent and to remove bad odour.
This is because vinegar contains acetic acid. This acid neutralises odours by killing the bacteria and mildew causing the bad smell.
All you need to do is pour a cup of white vinegar into a bowl or cup and place it in the car overnight. The vinegar will neutralise the bad smell.
Baking Soda
Baking soda is not only for baking. It is 100 percent sodium bicarbonate and can be used to remove odours from almost anything, including cars.
Mary Marlowe Leverette, a home economist and blogger, told House Logic that baking soda (sodium bicarbonate in a convenient box) neutralises stubborn acidic odours.
Place some baking soda in a small container with holes in it or on a plate, then leave it in the car overnight to absorb any unpleasant odours.
Leigh Toyota says: "Just clean and wet down the stinky area, liberally sprinkle the baking soda on, and let it dry. Then vacuum the dried powder at least a few hours later."
This will leave your car smelling fresh.
