Should doctors have a dress code?
A South African doctor has found himself trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.
Dr Sandile Qwabe, an independent medical officer from Newcastle, has become a hot topic on Twitter and even topped the trending list, thanks to his dress code for work.
Images of the doctor have been doing their rounds on social media, where he is seen wearing what many call 'pantsula' attire.
In some videos, he can even be seen wearing his white coat with shorts, sneakers, and a t-shirt with his stethoscope around his neck.

Dr Qwabe is also popular on TikTok where he posts a lot of fun activities of him at work.
Tweeps have been divided about whether his dress code is ethical.
There were also reports that the doctor was reported to the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), however, Times Live reports that the HPCSA has denied receiving such a complaint.
It further stated that it only regulates doctors' work-related code of conduct and not their dress codes or lifestyle.
