Unemployment is a serious issue in South Africa.
The statistics are especially high amongst the youth.
According to the Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS), for the first quarter of 2022, the unemployment rate was 63.9% for those aged 15-24 and 42.1% for those aged 25-34 years, reports Stats SA.
One young man was fed up with waiting to be hired that he decided to 'hire' himself at one of the most popular retail stores in South Africa - Pep Stores.
