WATCH: This is what Youth Day means to the young and old
Updated | By The Workzone with Mack Rapapali
We asked the young and the older generation what the significance of June 16th is to them.
Being from different generations means we have different views on various things.
As South Africa commemorates June 16th, also known as Youth Day, we went around our Jacaranda FM office and asked people from different generations what the day means to them, and we got some somewhat unexpected responses.
For the young, the tone they carry is how we should celebrate the day, while for the older generation, it is mostly about the events of the day and the gravity of the events of that day.
What are your thoughts on this? Are the young people appreciative of what the youth of 1976 sacrificed for them?
