It is back to school for most children in South Africa. Millions of learners made their way to school on Monday after staying at home for months.
One of the things that most parents worry about when sending kids to school is what they will pack for lunch.
This is why we have put together a list of great, healthy lunch ideas that you can pack for your little one's lunchbox.
These nutritional snacks will boost their immune system and help them concentrate better in class.
Fruit salad
Fruits are packed with nutrition and they are delicious.
You can pack fruits such as apple, berries, grapes, and pineapple because they don’t spoil easily.
Yoghurt
Many kids love yoghurt. The good thing is that it is packed with nutrients and it is a good source of protein and calcium.
Nuts
Nuts are a great source of fiber, they are also high in protein and rich in antioxidants.
Giving your child nuts will boost their immune system.
Oatmeal bar
Whole oats are rich in antioxidants and soluble fiber. Giving your child an oatmeal bar for lunch is a very good snack that is healthy and filling.
Raw vegetable sticks
There are many vegetables that can be eaten raw.
Make them look good and enticing for your child by cutting them into thin sticks that your child can carry in their lunch box.
