Delicious cream spinach recipe

Chef Nelson Makgakoa shares his mouth-watering cream spinach recipe.
Spinach is one of the healthiest foods one can consume.
According to Healthline, the nutrition facts for 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of raw spinach are:
Calories: 23
Water: 91%
Protein: 2.9 grams
Carbs: 3.6 grams
Sugar: 0.4 grams
Fiber: 2.2 grams
Fat: 0.4 grams.
There are also several ways to cook spinach.
You can boil it and add salt. You can also add other veggies to it such as tomato, potatoes, sweet potato, mushrooms, etc.

Ingredients
1 bunch spinach
75g butter
75g flour
2 cups warm milk (always makes sure that the milk is warm before making the sauce in order to avoid lumps forming)
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- Wash the Spinach and chop it roughly.
- Blanch (cook below boiling point) in hot water and salt.
- Remove the spinach and put it in a colander or sieve in order to drain the excess water.
- Heat the butter in a saucepan, then add the onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in the flour.
- Slowly start to whisk in the warm milk for five minutes until the sauce has thickened and the spinach is nicely cooked.
- Remove from pot and pour into serving dish.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the cooked cream spinach and leave for a minute to let the cheese melt.
- Serve hot or cold.
