How do factories separate eggs?

Well, wonder no more, folks...
There are few things worse when cooking than having to pick out eggs shells from the bowl after cracking an egg.
A spoon never quite works, as the slimey nature of the egg white ensures it slides off, while if you use your finger, the chances are you will just end up crushing the shell into smaller bits. Well, maybe that's because this writer has sausage fingers, but I'm sure you can relate.

When it comes to cooking on an industrial scale, technology has come to the rescue with a rather nifty piece of machinery, as demonstrated in the tweet below.
You will notice, however, that there is a human involved in the process for quality control, but we have to admit that technology deserves a round of applause for yet another egg-cellent invention.

The chefs make it look so easy
Sadly, normal home cook like you and I won't have access to the machine above for our scrambled egg.
What is also annoying is that we don't have the skills that chefs do. Have you seen them crack an egg with one hand? Talk about showing off?!
Thankfully, there are people out there who have taken the time to show the correct way to crack an egg, with little to no mess - and no eggshells in the cake batter!
