Rozanne McKenzie shares her Peppermint Crisp Tart Recipe for Heritage Month

Jacaranda FM is celebrating being proudly South African by sharing our presenters' favourite traditional recipes. Here is Rozanne McKenzie's Peppermint Crisp Tart recipe.
A Peppermint Crisp Tart is one of the most loved desserts in South Africa.
It is sweet, creamy, and absolutely yummy.
This Heritage Month, whether you are celebrating alone or having guests, Rozanne believes this dessert will definitely do the trick.
Below is her recipe.

Ingredients:
2 tins Mint Caramel
3 x 250ml cream
¼ pack of unsalted butter
3 packs of Tennis biscuits
2 x Peppermint crisp slabs
Instructions:
• Crush biscuits
• Melt butter
• Mix butter through biscuits
• Grate chocolate
• Whip cream
• Add caramel
• Mix through
• Add half of chocolate
• Mix through
• Line bowl with biscuits
• Add mixture
• Another layer of biscuits
• Add mixture
• Sprinkle rest of chocolate
• Allow to set for 3-4 hours
