Try this delicious pasta and mince 'pizza'

This pasta and mince pizza recipe from Chef Nelson will make a great Friday night supper.
Tired of the same old pizza? Why not put a spin on it?
Chef Nelson Makgakoa believes there shouldn't be a limit when it comes to what you can put on your pizza.

His favourite is using pasta as a spin to the traditional base.
Let's look at his recipe for the pasta and mince pizza.
Ingredients:
- Cooked pasta ( Do not overcook because you will still need to bake them).
- 1.5kg mince (ground beef).
- 1 Teaspoon crushed garlic.
- 2 Cans of peeled and grated tomatoes.
- 1 Teaspoon mixed herbs.
- 1 Onion minced, diced.
- 1 Teaspoon steak and chops spice.
- 1 Teaspoon cumin.
- Shredded mozzarelle cheese. You can mix it with cheddar.
- Salt and pepper for taste.
Method:
Pizza base:
Heat the pan with oil.
Add 1 Teaspoon of crushed garlic and cook for a minute.
Add two cans of peeled and grated tomatoes.
Add 1 Teaspoon of mixed herbs.
Season with salt and pepper.
Mince Recipe:
- Heat the pan with oil on high heat.
- Add diced onions.
- Cook until translucent.
- Add mincemeat.
- Cook until brown.
- Add steak and chops spice.
- Add cumin.
- Add salt and pepper.
Making the pizza:
- Mix pasta and sauce.
- Make the first layer and put into casserole or lasagne pan.
- Add half the cheese or as much as you want.
- Another another pasta layer.
- Add cheese.
- Cover with foil or baking paper.
- Bake in the oven for five minutes at 180degrees celsius.
- Remover cover and let it brown for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with chopped basil.
