Ways to turn your leftovers into new dishes
Updated | By Poelano Malema
You don't have to throw your leftover food away. Check out the below guide on how you can make delicious meals with your leftover dishes.

Is your fridge and cupboard full of leftover food that you don't know what to do with? You don't have to let your food go to waste!
WWF reports that in South Africa alone, 10-million tonnes of food goes to waste every year. That number is far too high, and it ultimately translates to money being wasted. So don't waste food and your money, it is not necessary.
For instance, did you know that you can freeze your leftover bread and turn it into breadcrumbs the day you need to use bread crumbs?
You can even add water to your crystallised honey to bring it back to its original state.
When it comes to fruits, don't throw away your banana and apple peels. You can turn apple peels into a herbal tea, and you can use your banana peels as fertilisers by simply burying them in your garden.
