Weird food combo: Mac and cheese with sugar
Who would have thought mac & cheese with sugar is a
thing?!
Calling all those who like to experiment in the kitchen. Here is another weird food combo for you to try.
Apparently, sprinkling sugar on top of your mac 'n cheese will elevate your dish to another level.
The recipe was shared by a Reddit user, Kimchi_boy, who claimed to have learned it from his father and sister.
'Kraft Mac n cheese with sugar over the top of it. My dad and sister did this. YUCK!' the user wrote on Reddit.
Another user commented: 'I have never seen anyone else do this, but my babysitter in the 60s taught me to eat it this way. Not necessarily Kraft, just any Mac and cheese. Still enjoy it, though these days I’m more likely to top it with hot sauce.'

One user asked how the sugar affects the taste.
'I'm curious about the reasoning behind it. Did the cheese need a sweet element or something? I find some mac and cheese lacking a little something, but it's usually salt, not sugar,' another user wrote.
