Tips and tricks for a clean and tidy home

Six easy tips and tricks that will leave your home looking amazing!
Maintaining tidiness around the house can be one heck of a job! It’s like, one moment your lounge is looking like the Maslow Hotel’s reception, then next thing you’re looking at what seems to be the aftermath of Cyclone Rihanna. Devastating, right?
Well, thank the universe for household tricks and tips that help maintain the order and tidiness of your home. Of course, everyone in the home has got to be a team player in this endeavor, so add this to the agenda for the next family meeting.
Here we go:
1 - Get a cute basket for the lounge area to place your remote controls in. This will not only ensure order (as the remote controls will not be scattered all over the place), but it will also prevent them from getting lost under the cushions or behind the couches.
2 - You can use a walnut, pecan, Brazil nut or almond to remove marks from wooden furniture. All you do is rub the nut across the furniture and then proceed to rub the area with your fingers. Finally, buff the area up with a dry cloth and DONE!
3 - For the houseplant that catches dust, you can use a banana peel to just wipe that dust off. The moisture within the peel is also good for the plant.
4 - To clean your oven and microwave with more ease, boil a cup of water inside these appliances and you’ll discover that the steam from the water condenses on the walls. This will then loosen the caked-on food, making it easier to wipe off. I reckon your arms will also thank you for this trick.
5 - To freshen up and clean out your garbage bin, lemon and vinegar are your go-to acids. This mixture will also freshen the garbage smell in your kitchen.
6 - Baking soda is also really good for getting rid of any foul odours in the kitchen, whether it may be in the fridge or in the garbage bin. Just mix some with water and go to town cleaning.
