Two smart tricks to get your lettuce to stay fresh for weeks
Updated | By Poelano Malema
We have found two amazing and simple hacks to help keep your lettuce fresher for longer.

Are you tired of having to consume lettuce within a few days of purchase?
These tricks are designed to make your lettuce stay fresher for longer.
The first method:
- Place the lettuce in an airtight plastic container
- Open the container, but don't take out the lettuce
- Stick a paper towel on top of the lettuce
- Close the container
- Turn the container upside down and store it in the fridge.
The towel will absorb all the moisture. This method works because normally the bottom lettuce leaves get soggy and wet due to the moisture and then this affects other leaves, making your lettuce lose its freshness quickly.
