According to a spokesperson from the mattress brand Levitex, sleeping on your front causes a number of spinal problems.
In the video, the spokesperson uses a person in a muscle suit to explain that when you sleep on your front, you cause unnecessary tension in your upper leg muscles.
In another demonstration, he shows what a neutral spine looks like, but when the person slept on their stomach, their spine slipped out of the neutral position.
He goes on to say that your neck is put in a very strenuous position when you sleep on your front, and he says that you normally never would keep your neck in that position for hours.
His advice does not end there, and he gives a tip on how to make a neck pillow for long flights out of a spare hoodie.
