A month of celebrating phenomenal South African Women: Julia Anastasopoulos

We are halfway into August, and to date, we have seen media reports across the board paying tribute to different remarkable South African women. No matter their choice of profession, education or life journey, what we can be sure of is that women will no longer be silenced.
Today we pay tribute to a woman that has made us smile, laugh, and shown us that life can be fun; Julia Anastasopoulos has crept into the hearts of many.

Born on 14 June 1983, Julia is a South African artist, illustrator, designer, and actress. In 2014, she became a local internet influencer with her do-it-yourself web series, known to all as ‘SuzelleDIY’. Before she dominated online, Julia created hand-drawn illustrations on the walls and windows of MyCiti bus stations.
Her show, ‘Tali’s Weddin Diary’, was the first Showmax original series to air. She was showing that women can indeed do it all.
