Updated | By Music Reporter
The Canadian singer is celebrating a major career milestone.

Tate McRae has scored her first career No.1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The 21-year-old's third studio album, 'So Close to What', knocked Drake and PartyNextDoor's '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' off the top spot.
The album, which was released on February 21, includes the hit songs 'Sports Car', 'It's OK I'm OK' and 'Revolving Door'.
"????????? Are you kidding meeeeeeee. Thank you Thank you Thank you," McRae said about her #1 debut.
OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who wrote and produced several songs on the album, celebrated her success.
"SO DESERVED! Hardest working woman in music!" musician Tedder commented.
He further praised McRae in a post shared on his Instagram page.
"When you start an album, you don’t start by thinking how it will be received or what it will do commercially – you’re just chasing a ghost. It’s an honour to have EP’d the last 2 Tate albums – the reception of this one has been beyond overwhelming – #1 wasn’t on my Bingo card but I’ll happily take it," Tedder wrote.
He also praised the singer's "work ethic" and "obsession with her craft".
"She never stops – and deserves it all. Thank u for trusting me Tate. My extreme gratitude goes out to every single songwriter, producer, engineer and mixer that helped bring this album to life. Also to @rcarecords & @fullstopmgmt – u crushed from day 1. The writers & producers @runnermusicofficial for always showing up and delivering – and finally – to the fans – THANK U."
McRae also has 11 songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, including 'I Know Love' featuring her boyfriend Kid Laroi.
