The legendary entertainer says the song pays tribute to the millions of Jewish lives that were lost during the Holocaust, a systematic state-sponsored killing.
"Because of the rise in antisemitism around the world today, I wanted to sing ‘Love Will Survive’ in the context of this series, as a way of remembering the six-million souls who were lost less than 80 years ago," she wrote.
The singer and author says her new song is to inspire hope that love always wins despite the pain.
"And also to say that even in the darkest of times, the power of love can triumph and endure."
According to Billboard, the song features the London Symphony Orchestra and is the singer's first-ever recording for a TV series.
The publication adds that the song was composed by Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer in collaboration Kara Talve and Walter Afanasieff.
The song’s lyrics were reportedly by Charlie Midnight.
