Beyoncé's country music makes history on the charts
Beyoncé's new music has topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Beyoncé has made history by becoming the first Black woman to top Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. This is thanks to her latest release, 'Texas Hold 'Em'.
The Grammy winner released two country songs earlier this month - 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages' - from her upcoming album, 'Renaissance: Act II'.
Her song led to her topping not only the Hot Country Songs chart but also the Hot R&B/Hip-Hip Songs chart.
She also became the second solo female artist – with no accompanying featured artists – to debut at No. 1, after Taylor Swift for her re-recordings of 'Love Story' and 'All Too Well', states The Guardian.

Beyoncé's father, Dr Knowles, opened up about how his daughter was exposed to country music from when she was about two years old.
"When Beyoncé was a little baby, and I'm talking two-three years old, she would go down and spend the summer with my parents," Dr Knowles told BBC Asian Network.
Dr Knowles says the love of country music is from her grandfather and he used to sing with Beyonce.
"And her grandfather - my father - loved country music, and he used to sing to her. At an early age, she heard this music."
As a result, the father, who used to be Beyonce's manager until 2011, says he "wouldn't be surprised" if Beyoncé's childhood memories influenced her latest decision to record country.
"And when you're two, three years old, subconsciously music stays in your head," he said.
