Is a Billie Eilish x Ariana Grande collab on the way in 2025?
Billie Eilish would love to collaborate with Ariana Grande on a new song.
The 'What Was I Made For?' singer teased the possible collaboration at a 'Wicked' Q&A event held after a screening of the film in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Eilish moderated the Q&A, which focused on Grande's role in the film. The 'Thank U, Next' singer plays good witch Galinda "Glinda" Upland in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical of the name.
The film, which also stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp, is nominated in 10 categories at the 97th Academy Awards. Grande scored a nomination in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category.
While the discussion was mostly about the movie, the singers showed each other some love during the event, which Academy and Guild members attended.
"My team was like, ‘Who would be a cool person to do this? Who’s your dream person?' I was like, ‘Billie, [but] she’s not gonna say yes.’ She’s too busy. She’s too fabulous. It’s too much. But she said ‘Yes,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, s**. Now I’m so nervous,'” Grande said, per Variety.
Eilish also had kind words for her fellow pop star.
"I love this girl so much, and I love this movie so much, and I love you."
With two of the world's biggest music stars on the same stage, it was only natural that talk of a collaboration would arise.
"We do need to do that," Grande said to wild applause from the audience.
Billie agreed, "I would love to do that."
Fans are now speculating that a Billie Eilish X Ariana Grande collab could be featured on the 'Wicked: For Good' soundtrack.
The second instalment of the musical fantasy film will be released in November 2025.
