Brenden Praise and Mörda celebrate 'The Color Purple' soundtrack feature

The song was originally done by American gospel singer and actress Tamela Mann.
South African musicians, Brenden Praise and Mörda aka Murdah Bongz, are celebrating being featured in 'The Color Purple' movie soundtrack.
The musicians appeared on a song called 'Mysterious Ways - Morda Remix'. The track was originally recorded by Tamela Mann.
Former Black Motion member and husband to DJ Zinhle, Mörda, produced the remix.
"What an honour and privilege it is to be part of The Colour Purple movie," he wrote on Instagram.
He added how he has always dreamt of producing music for a film.
"Contributing musically to a film is a dream come true, contributing to a film as huge as The Colour Purple is mind-blowing. Thank you The Colour Purple for giving me that," he wrote.
He also thanked all the people who helped him achieve his dream.
"I must thank @gamma, ASANTE MUSIC and all that helped make this happen. @brendenpraise and I are very excited to be part of a REMIX that already sounded so amazing," he wrote.
Musician Brenden took to Instagram to talk about how honoured he was to feature on the song.
"First Movie Sound track Credits!!! The Good lord truly works in Mysterious Ways," he wrote.
The South African R&B/Soul singer thanked Murda Bongz for the feature.
"Thank you @murdahbongz for trusting me to contribute on this beautiful remix. Such an honor to Work on one of my favourite Movie franchises with my all time favourite Producer Mörda!! Also special thanks to the @gamma team for everything," he wrote.

Both Brenden and Mörda's wives congratulated the stars for the incredible achievement.
Brenden's wife, Mpoomy Ledwaba wrote: "Y’all are brilliant!!!!! I am so proud of you."
DJ Zinhle wrote in the comment section of her husband's post: "Proud of you my sweet baby."

'The Colour Purple' will be out in cinemas on Christmas Day.
Oprah Winfrey, who co-produced the new musical version of the 1985 film, has been sharing updates on her social media pages.
"@thecolorpurple family has been out in these Purple streets delivering this Purple message for the last month—and now the movie will be yours in ONE week! #TheColorPurple is in theaters starting Christmas Day, we hope you enjoy it with your family and friends," she wrote on Instagram.
