BTS member Jin to release new album

BTS's label, BigHit Music, has announced that the star will release his new music before starting mandatory national military service in South Korea.
BTS's oldest member Jin, is getting ready to release his latest solo album.
According to a report by Billboard, the project will be finalised by the end of October.
The musician will then commence his mandatory national military service in his native country - South Korea.
In August, AFP announced that BTS members will have to undertake their mandatory military service in the country.
Males under the age of 30 have to serve in the military for two years. However, there were debates on whether BTS members should be exempted from participating in the service, especially given their schedule and how they contribute financially to the country through their music sales. However, Defence Minister Lee Jong-sup said the band members can still do their music even while serving in the military.
"I think there will be a way to give them time to practice in the military and to allow them to perform together if there is an overseas performance scheduled," he said.

In 2020, Jin said he was not opposed to doing military service.
"As a South Korean young man, I believe military service is a natural course. And as I have always said, I will answer the country's call whenever it comes," Jin reportedly said.
He is the first member of the group who will be participating in the military programme.
"Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government," said BigHit Music in a statement.
It also announced that the rest of the six members will follow suit.
"Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans,” said the label.
