Cher on upcoming music: 'This is probably my last album'
The 80-year-old singer, who recently released 'Cher: The Memoir, Part One', says her upcoming album will probably be her last.
Cher is ready to hang up her mic!
The singer has revealed that she would be giving fans her last offering when it comes to albums.
In an interview with The Sun, the 80-year-old, who has had a career that spans six decades, said, “This is probably my last album that I’m going to do."
She also revealed that the album would consist of original songs.
“I’m really excited. They are great songs and I’m just really excited that I’m doing it. I’m really excited to be doing anything now," she said.
Cher went on to speak about her age.
“I’m older than dirt now, OK? I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home."
The singer encouraged young women to make the most of their youth.
“I keep having to tell these [younger] girls like, ‘Get over yourself, get out there. You’ve got your whole life ahead of you’. I don’t care if you’re 50. I’d give anything to be 60 again. I was a f***ing hottie!"
She explained that she doesn't allow her old age to interfere with how she feels about herself.
"It’s weird too because I know I’m older, but I don’t know how to feel it. I don’t know how to feel any different than the way I’ve always felt," she added.
Cher, who is dating 38-year-old Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards, said she enjoys the company of young people because they like to have fun.
“I like hanging with younger people, not just men. I like young people because a lot of my friends don’t want to have that much fun.They can just go off and be old fogies,” she explained.

She has been promoting the book, which became available for purchase on November 19, on her social media pages.
The book discusses her troublesome childhood, showbiz and her first husband, Sonny Bono.
