The world-renowned musician has teamed up with The Fashion. Art. Music. (F.A.M) Academy and Feenix to launch a student crowdfunding campaign, #FamTagYouIt.
DJ Black Coffee is at it again. This time around he has teamed up with The Fashion. Art. Music. (F.A.M) Academy and Feenix. The trio aim to raise at least R3-million to help fund students in the creative industry.
They hope to raise the money in two weeks and it will help students in the creative arts field who are undergraduates or have historic debt.
Currently, learning is not taking place at several South African universities due to on-going protests about financial exclusion. Many students are not able to pay for their studies and some have outstanding fees. This campaign aims to help solve the problem.

Organisations such as Feenix have been helping thousands of South Africans pay for their fees. It works with 26 public universities and has disbursed over R76-million to more than 1,910 students’ university fee accounts.
Black Coffee has also been doing a lot of charity work to raise funds for students.
Last month, he announced that he has partnered with HyperionDev on their crowdfunding investment initiative which is also aimed at raising funds for students.
“As you may know, I’ve partnered with HyperionDev on their crowdfunding investment initiative. Now YOU have the opportunity to invest in this amazing startup. A portion of the investment capital will be going towards scholarships for those interested in studying and working in the tech space,” he announced on Twitter.
In 2014, the DJ paid for one lucky student to study at the School of Audio Engineering for a Higher Certificate in Sound Production qualification.
