Dolly Parton is getting ready to release her much-anticipated album, 'Rockstar'.
The star has released a new single, 'What's Up?' featuring American singer-songwriter, Linda Perry.
The song was originally released by Linda Perry as a member of 4 Non Blondes for their 1992 debut album, 'Bigger, Better, Faster, More!'.
The new version has a country swing to it.

The music video shows the two singers performing at Nashville’s Eakin Elementary School's auditorium with old seats and are joined by children. Perry plays the acoustic guitar in front of Parton.
Speaking about the collaboration, Dolly said she loves Linda and the song.
“First of all, I love Linda Perry,” Parton said in a statement quoted by CMT.
“Second of all, I love this song written by Linda. Third of all, I love being a part of this video to try to make people think about what’s going on in this world today. Shout out to the little children that helped with the video! If our children don’t make it, then what will? Again, I ask, ‘What’s Up?’ Enjoy,” Dolly said.
Perry shared how it is an honour to have Dolly cover her song.
“How is one supposed to react when the greatest and most prolific songwriter in the world wants to cover a song YOU wrote?” Perry said in the statement.
“Her version of ‘What’s Up?’ is so good. Her spin on it made me feel like it was her song. No surprise there. Being on set making the video was a comfortable easy experience. The vibe on set was chill and Dolly and I got to catch up and laugh a lot. I could go on and on, obviously I’m a fan!”
The single is released ahead of Dolly's upcoming album, 'Rockstar'.
The new album is scheduled for release on 17 November 2023.
The 10-time Grammy winner features several big names on the album, including Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.
"Are you ready for ‘Rockstar?’ Box Sets, Vinyl and CDs are available now for pre-order! Grab some before they’re gone," wrote Dolly on Instagram.
