Elton John and Bernie Taupin took home the Best Original Song accolade at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.

The 'Candle In The Wind' hitmaker rang in 2020 with a new award when he received the Golden Globe for the Rocketman original song, 'I'm Gonna Love Me Again', on Sunday.

During his acceptance speech, John mentioned that their song was so much more than just another item in the Taron Egerton-led film. "This is really sweet because this is not a song we wrote about a movie ... [it] deals with our relationship," Taupin added.

Taron Egerton thanks Elton John for Best Actor win

'Rocketman' star Taron Egerton beat out Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig, Roman Griffin Davis, and Eddie Murphy in the Best Actor category.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked director Dexter Fletcher and producer Matthew Vaughn, but he had a special message to the icon he portrayed on screen: "To Elton John, thank you for the music, thank you for living a life less ordinary, and thank you for being my friend."
