The Recording Academy has confirmed that the 2025 Grammys, which are scheduled to take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, will proceed as planned.

There were concerns that the deadly wildfires in LA could cause a postponement, with one source telling 'The Hollywood Reporter' that is it highly likely the date will be changed.

However, it seems after discussions, organisers have decided to continue.

In a note to Recording Academy members, officials say the 67th Grammy Awards will be held "in close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and responsible use of area resources".

The note, which was shared on Deadline, reveals that the ceremony will raise funds for wildfire victims.

"This year’s show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours."

The Recording Academy and its non-profit organisation, MusiCares, have already pledged $1 million to support music creatives and professionals affected by the fires.

"In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The GRAMMYs will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles."

Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX are among this year's Grammy nominees

Tems, Burna Boy, Davido, Lojay, Asake, Wizkid and Yemi Alade are nominated in the 'Best African Music Performance' category.

The Recording Academy has the full 2025 Grammy nominations list on its website.
