'Idols' star Mark Haze is back with a brand new album!
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Mark Haze recently released a brand new single, 'Monster', after a five-year hiatus.
“The song is about the dark and light side in every person. The people that we are with, can sometimes bring that out in us and sometimes that’s what you want and need. Somehow the bad things in life can lead to the good things in life,” Mark says.
It’s been five years since his last solo album release. Mark now also has his own studio called Havoc Studio SA, focusing on young up and coming new artists, to guide them through the industry and help them prepare for their careers to become stars.
The album, 'Authentic', was written by Mark himself, but he also collaborated with a couple of other songwriters on the first single, 'Monster', to make this the masterpiece that it turned out to be. Mark Haze is a South African singer/songwriter, performing original rock, soul, and blues material. Known for his wide vocal range, Mark’s signature sound of high energy Rock ‘n Roll is guaranteed to have audiences on their feet.

In 2011, Mark was the runner-up in 'Idols South Africa', which assisted him in securing a record deal with Universal Music SA for the release of 'Where Angels Fear to Fly'. Prior to this, Mark won the American Idol Experience at Disney World, Orlando; a condensed version of the hit TV show, which presented the winner with a Golden Ticket for the actual full-length contest.
Having to return to SA, Mark was unable to compete in 'American Idol', but took it as a reason to enter the South African contest. Having opened for Seether’s Homecoming Tour, as well as being the official support act for Bon Jovi on their South African tour, Mark Haze has firmly cemented himself as one of South Africa’s premier live rock acts.
