Justin Timberlake has apologised to fans after cancelling a concert just a few minutes before he was due on stage.

The 'Mirrors' hitmaker was scheduled to perform at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, February 27.

"You guys. I’m heartbroken. I have to cancel the show tonight," he said in a statement. The 44-year-old revealed that the cancellation was due to health reasons.

"I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it’s gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you and my team worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you’ll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all."

It's not the first time the singer has pulled the plug on a show during the 'Forget Tomorrow World Tour'. He cancelled a December 2024 show in Oklahoma City also due to ill health

"I’m so sorry Oklahoma City… I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in NOLA and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer."

Just two months earlier he scrapped a show in New Jersey because of an injury

"I'm so sorry to postpone tonight's show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show y’all deserve. Thank you for understanding. Appreciate your support always,” he said in a since-deleted Instagram post.

Timberlake's fans expressed disappointment about his latest cancellation but wished him well.

"I’m sorry to all who had tickets tonight. Big hugs. It’s ok to be in your feelings about it. But please also remember he is human too & sometimes things happen even though we take every step possible to try to prevent them. I know he feels so bad about having to cancel. You can be sad, disappointed, etc but please be kind to him," one fan wrote

Another fan wrote: "The last show too… What a bummer!!!! We love you dude!!! Feel better! That flu ain’t no joke."
