The news was announced on Thursday by London-based firm Hipgnosis, which also bought Shakira, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Christine Anne McVie, Blondie, and Young's music catalogs.
Timberlake's catalog included a total of around 200 songs. He has five studio albums and 40 singles. Some of his hit songs include 'SexyBack', 'Can't Stop the Feeling', and 'Mirrors'.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the catalog was sold for a whopping $100-million (over R1.5-billion) and the funds will be managed by private equity firm Blackstone (BGB).
