Kid Rock walks off stage in a huff over lack of clapping

"If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing." Well, this is awkward!

Kid Rock had a meltdown during a recent show after the audience failed to clap along while he sang.

The American musician was performing at a birthday celebration for Bon Jovi's David Bryan in Nashville, Tennessee, when he noticed people weren't vibing to his music as he felt they should.

"Hey, hey, stop," he tells his band in a clip from the show that has gone viral.

"If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That's how it's gonna go."

The 'All Summer Long' star starts clapping his hands, encouraging the crowd to join. He then proceeds to tell them how to clap: "Don't get too fast."

Satisfied with the pace, he starts singing 'Proud Mary' by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

However, to his annoyance, some people stop clapping at some point.

"You know what, f*** y’all. You ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone," he says before storming off stage.

Unsurprisingly, social media users were less than impressed with Kid Rock's "tantrum".

"Kid Rock spent years calling everyone else soft, then threw a fit because his Walmart parking lot fanbase didn’t clap loud enough," one X user said.

One fan joked: "18 people just can’t be expected to make much noise."
